JD Wetherspoon has withdrawn its planning application for Helston – but not for good.
Spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We are keen to make some amends to the plans before resubmitting the application. We won’t comment further on the plans at present.”
The pub chain has been working through an application to redevelop Oliver & Son furnishers in Coinagehall Street into a bar and restaurant.
It has received support from many locals, although neighbours have expressed concerns over a couple of features, including an outside terrace.
It is understood that the company plans to make alterations to their plans to take comments into account.
