It was a chance for Christmas shoppers to pick up some unique gifts when a craft fair was held at Helston’s Old Cattle Market.

It proved popular, with more than 500 people through the doors of the Hellys Christmas Craft Fair over the course of the day. Traders reported good sales, with some items selling out.

There was a range of goods on offer from the 35 stalls, from preserves to handmade toys, and lots of festive decorations and gifts. Live music entertained visitors for part of the afternoon.

There will be five craft fairs held in 2015, in April, June, August, Octobers and December on dates yet to be confirmed.

Organisers are looking into combining the August event with the regularly monthly Helston Farmers’ Market and another town event, in a bid to fill Coronation Park with stalls.
