A casualty had to be cut free from the wreckage of a car this morning after a two vehicle crash on the Probus side of Grampound Road just after 7.30am.
Firefighters from St Austell and Truro and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised to the collision approximately a quarter of a mile out of Grampound Road.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said: "In one vehicle there was one person trapped and crews used crash rescue equipment to remove the roof and side of the car to extricate the casualty.
"A further casualty was not trapped and was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived on scene."
Police and ambulance staff also attended.
