After drinking four double gin and tonics a woman driver took a corner too quickly and crashed into a wall at Camborne.
A taxi driver who saw what she had done told the police and they went to the scene where they found Kerry-Ann Johns, 20, of North Roskear Road, Camborne, who said she could not restart the vehicle. She told them she had been drinking.
She later tested at 77 mcg, more than twice the limit for alcohol in breath.
At Truro Magistrates’ Court she pleaded guilty to drink driving on December 28. She told the magistrates that after drinking she had driven too quickly round a corner and hit a wall in North Parade.
She was fined £250 with £110 costs and surcharge and banned from driving for 18 months.
