Health and safety concerns have been raised over the amount of cars parking on the roadside at Helston’s Flora Gardens.
The issues was raised at the last meeting of Helston Town Council by John Martin, who said he had been spoken to about it and called for the support of Cornwall councillor Judith Haycock.
Mrs Haycock revealed there had already been discusses with the highways department, but because there were no yellow lines no enforcement action could be taken against the drivers, as they were not parked illegally.
However, she added: “If cars parked are stopping emergency vehicles going down, that is a police issue.”
