Police officers called to a house in Falmouth to deal with a reported domestic incident found themselves faced with a man who was obstructive and at one stage charged at them with his head down.
Ryan Ashley Spry, aged 29, of Esperanza Court, Falmouth, pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates' Court to resisting Sgt Paul Kelly and assaulting him on January 2, and also to possessing one gram of cannabis worth £10.
Alison May, for the CPS, said officers went to his home address to deal with a domestic incident and found him clearly drunk and declining to respond to them. Then he became aggressive and shouting and a Captor spray was deployed before they could restrain him.
Spry, who had a previous conviction for being drunk and disorderly, had his case adjourned for an alcohol treatment assessment to February 18.
