FOLLOWING a successful run earlier last year, multi-award winning physical theatre company Gecko head out on the road again with Institute, an intimate, funny and moving exploration of what it means to care.

When the time comes, will anyone really care? Set in a warped world of emotional compartmentalisation and treatment - where memories are filed, relationships scrutinised and patient becomes carer and vice versa - four people undergo a series of extraordinary physical ‘treatments’ as they struggle to |prepare themselves for the outside world. But a Gecko world is never as it first appears… Expect ingenious set design, featuring giant filing cabinets from which fully formed |memories, whole relationships and secrets are pulled out and filed away; visceral movement and intricate group choreography from the all-male cast; and moments of |stunning tenderness and beauty that shine out from shadows so brightly they leave you reeling.

Gecko is at Hall For Cornwall on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13 to £20, with concessions available. School/college and group discounts are available. A limited number of Youth Pass tickets at £10 are also available for 16 to 26-year-olds.
