Devon and Cornwall Police have pulled an image from a Twitter campaign over concerns it looked too much like police brutality.
the force used the image, which it said was meant to represent "one drunk person attacking another", after concerns were raised that the first figure resembled an officer in riot gear.
Twitter user Chris York tweeted: "That drunk man looks like a copper," and Marc Wade added "Lloks like police brutality. Did no one see this before publishing it!?!"
Another Twitter user, @svenvelope, said: "This is a very odd picture to illustrate your scheme the attacker looks like a Riot police."
The was part of the force's #ru2drunk crackdown on crime, which involves doormen in Torquay bars breathalysing suspected drunks before they are allowed to enter.
