One person had to be treated for smoke inhalation and shock after a fire spread from a woodburner to nearby logs at a St Buryan property yesterday evening.
Firefighters were called to Lands End Road, at 6.49pm , with both appliances from Penzance mobilised. The crews found a fire in the wood stacked around a woodburner and used a hosereel to extinguish the fire.
A spokesman said: "One person was given oxygen therapy at the scene and an ambulance was requested to treat the casualty for the effects of smoke inhilation and shock."
