Falmouth Coastguard’s cliff rescue team had its second call in two days after three people became cut off by the tide at Maenporth.
At around midday on Sunday, March 1, the team was paged by the Coastguard Operations Centre in Falmouth, after a group became stuck between the beach and the wreck of the Ben Asdale, but was stood down again after a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose was sent to investigate and reported that all was well.
A coastguard spokesperson said: “We were stood down on station while making up our kit from the drying room from our incident the day before.
“This is the second cliff incident we have responded to in the same area in 24 hours. Please be careful on the cliff paths and keep an eye on the tide times.”
