A new musculoskeletal physiotherapy service will soon be available to patients in the west of Cornwall.

The new clinic room will be opened on Wednesday, April 1 at the Mounts Bay GP Practice and provide physiotherapy to patients from St Ives, Hayle and Penzance.

Located in Sainsbury’s, Penzance, the Mounts Bay GP Practice is a satellite service shared by three local GP practices – Rosemellion, Alverton and Sunnyside.

The service offers specialist assessment, advice and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal conditions such as, lower back pain, neck pain, strains and sprains, joint and muscular pain and continence problems.

It also offers a wide-range of treatment from highly qualified and award-winning professionals such as: manual therapy, acupuncture and electrotherapy, manipulation and Hydrocortisone Injection Therapy.

Patients who would like to be referred to the MSK Service will need to be asked to be referred by their GP. Once they have been referred they will be seen quickly for their assessment. Patients can call 0845 2077701 for more details on their referral.
