Penryn College students from all year groups modelled the latest collections and some of their own designs at the annual school fashion show on Thursday.

The fashion show is an early opportunity for Year 11 students to showcase and model some of their potential outfits for their summer prom, which will held at Merchants Manor in June after the end of GCSE exams.

The school’s fashion academy modelled some of their textile projects, alongside formal wear, prom dresses and collections from stores in the area, with collections from Moss Bros, Sessions for the boys, and Cargo, Perriwinkle, Session and Just Like This for the girls.

Another key part of the evening was hair and makeup, with Penryn College students being attended to by volunteers from Level 3 Hair Academy students from Falmouth. Penryn College students also volunteered to create the sound and lighting for the evening’s entertainment.

There was plenty of other entertainment on show, as Kernow King made a special guest appearance as the compere for the evening, introducing collections, sharing selfies with students and treating the audience to his comedy stylings.

There were also musical interludes from some of the college’s talented musicians.

Details of ticket sales for the prom will be available on the college website in the coming weeks.
