A daily photography project in Helston continues apace, with a panto cast, a wet Friday and seagulls all making an appearance during February.

Helston 365 is designed to document the life of Helston every day for a year.

Artist Jude Carroll hopes to find 365 different people to take a photograph in the town or surrounding area – one for every date in the calendar. These will then be shown in an exhibition at Helston in the New Year.

Each photo submitted is accompanied by a brief description.

They include one from Maxine Millichip, who photographed the staff of Dales Butchers on February 12.

She said of her image: “Dales is the sort of business of which the town should be proud; selling local produce and offering friendly service. You can see the skill of the butchers at work here.”

Other photos taken in February include some of the cast of Mother Goose, a boy in wellies enjoying Helston's kennals, a wet Friday 13th in Meneage Street, gulls lined up at the Boating Lake, a bike ride in Penrose Walk, views of the monument, the church and the church gate.

Jude said: “The project is going well and the contributions continue to reflect the varied nature of our town and immediate locality.”

She added that there were still plenty of dates left for others who would like to join in the project.
