Time to start training as entry opens for the RNLI fundraising Castle 2 Castle Swim in Falmouth.

The one mile open water sea swim starts at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.

Over the past six years the event has rasied a "tremendous amount" of money for the RNLI and organsiers are hoping that as many people as possible come forward to take part.

This year swimmers will set off on May 30 at 3.30pm.

The event has a maximum limit of 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Due to the nature of the event, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers that have previously swam at least one mile in open water.

If swimming isn't your thing but you would still like to be involved, volunteering opportunities are available on the day.
