A shipment of rogues are venturing to Land’s End for two weeks this Easter to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the creation of Alice in Wonderland.

The iconic landmark will be transformed into the land of the curious and curiouser with Rogue Theatre performing a Cornish take on the Lewis Carroll classic.

Down The Rabbit Hole is an adventure that follows Alice into smugglers caves and mines with tin rich veins, where she takes flight with pirate parrots and explores the city beneath the waves.

Ollie Oakenshield, of Rogue Theatre said: “We’re really excited about this new production at Land’s End and find great inspiration from the rich history there, let alone the local mythology and the breathtaking landscape.

“Cornwall is a place with vast horizons and this is never more apparent than when stood on the cliffs at Land’s End, from where your mind can sail across the sea to distant lands or venture beneath the waves to lost cities”

David Bryans, general manager at Land’s End said: “We hope people of all ages will jump down the rabbit hole and join us at the westernmost point of Cornwall for some literary nonsense and Easter entertainment.

“Create your wackiest and most wonderful Easter bonnet and take part in The Mad Hatter’s Hat Parade on Good Friday; grab an Easter Trail from the Visitor Centre and look out for rabbit holes and Cheshire cat smiles to win yourself some chocolate treats.

“There’ll be witches, rabbits, miners, pirate parrots, and even a badger in Rogue’s wonderful |interpretation of Alice in Wonderland; with free face painting at the end of each tale.

“Of course there’s also our four fun-filled family attractions, including our new Shaun the Sheep Experience and 4D film.”

Down The Rabbit Hole’will be performed at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm daily on April 4, 5 and 6.
