Cornwall Council is expecting bidders to pay considerably more than a penny when former public toilets in Camborne town centre go under the hammer next month.
The unitary authority has placed the block in Gurneys Lane up for auction with a freehold guide price of £15,000 to £20,000. They will be sold by Clive Emson at an auction at St Mellion International Resort on May 8.
Katie Semmens, senior auction valuer, said: “Former public conveniences are always popular at auction. A block of this size and location in the town centre offers significant possibilities for redevelopment subject to the necessary consents being gained.”
As well as separate male and female WCs and disabled facilities, the building also includes two storerooms.
