A new initiative to help people worried about dementia may soon be coming to Penryn as part of a collaboration between the town council and an alzheimers support society.
Penryn Town Council is hoping to team up with Dementia Friends, an Alzheimers Society initiative, to set up a Memory Café, which will provide a place where anyone who feels that they or someone they know may have a short-term memory problem can ask for support.
Members of the public would be able to drop in without an appointment and talk to an experienced volunteer or a professional member of the mental health team.
There will be a meeting in Penryn Town Hall on Tuesday 28th April from 12.30 to 1.30 pm, for anyone who would like more details or thinks they may be able to help.
For more details telephone Gill Grant on 01326 374969.
