Three people from the Helston area have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the unexplained death of a Lithuanian man.

The man was brought into West Cornwall Hospital around 4.15am on Tuesday, April 14 having sustained unexplained injuries. He was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Detectives are continuing their enquiries to establish the circumstances of the man’s death, who is thought to be a 32-year-old Lithuanian man, and are awaiting post mortem results.

Officers are conducting enquiries and searches within the Penzance area and are appealing for anyone who many have information to contact police.

DI Sharon Donald said: “We believe that members of the public may hold vital information to assist with this investigation. We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident of the events beforehand to contact police.

“While clearly concerning, we would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated incident.”

Two men, aged 39 and 44, and a 29-year-old woman, from the Helston area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. All three have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
