The people of Helston took some time out of their busy schedules to enjoy a pint or two at a beer festival organised by the town's Rotary Club.
Held at the Epworth Hall over three days, the event attracted a steady stream of people, all keen to try out the
various beers and ales on offer. As well as giving patrons the chance to sample what was on offer, the festival was also a fundraiser which generated at least £4,500.
The cash will be divided between the Rotary Clubs of Helston Lizard's headline charity, The Cove Macmillan Support Centre Appeal, which is raising money for a new cancer centre at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske in Truro, and other Rotary charities.
"This was the first time that we have held our beer festival in Helston and we received a lot of positive feedback," said Steve Ford, marketing and PR officer for the Rotary Club of Helston Lizard. "We wish to thank all the businesses who sponsored the event and the management committee of the Epworth Hall who allowed us to use the building."
