AS a charity, Hall For Cornwall is committed not only to offering the people of the county the best in touring entertainment, but also to provide opportunities for the local community.

With this in mind, the hall is trying to access a pot of funding to support its #HFCYouth Arts Award project and is asking the people of Cornwall to help by simply casting a vote. The Aviva Community Fund gives people the chance to get funding for projects that are important to their local community. HFC wants to raise £4,800 so everyone taking part in this year’s #HFCYouth programme has the opportunity to get an Arts Award accreditation.

In order to access this funding, the hall needs to get as many votes as it can on its Aviva Community Fund page so it can have the best chance of getting through to the finals. Voting is open until May 30 and everyone gets ten votes which can be cast at any time during the voting phase.

Projects with the most votes will become finalists and go through to the judging panel. The three highest ranking entries after judging will win funding. Winners will be announced on June 30.

Supporting this challenge is one of Cornwall's leading independent financial advisers, Worldwide Financial Planning. Jowdy Davey, Hall For Cornwall’s head of fundraising, said: “Projects that are entered by a local financial advisor stand an even better chance of securing funding in the finals. We’re enormously grateful to our corporate friends, Worldwide Financial Planning, who have given their full support to the #HFCYouth Arts Award project.”
