THREEMILESTONE 8 GWINEAR 0

FIVE goals for Glen Patterson helped Threemilestone on their way to an easy win over One and All Sports Mining League division one mid table side. Gwinear.

Patterson opened the scoring after 15 minutes when he outpaced the gwinear back line and fired in from the left hand side of the box.

The second goal came within five minutes and was a carbon copy of the first. Patterson hit his hat-trick with just three minutes of the second half completed to dent any hopes Gwinear had of a comeback.

Three more goals were then added within the next ten minutes. Firstly, Marc Taylor beat the attempted offside trap to run through and score, Ryan Stephens hit number five, driving the ball across the 'keeper from just inside the box, and then James Bright evaded several attempts from the Gwinear defence to win the ball and slid the ball under the 'keeper from eight yards.

Patterson hit the seventh with a fine strike from 18 yards that gave the goalie no chance, and with a minute remaining completed his five-star display running on to a through ball to beat the overworked 'keeper in a one on one.

Trevenson 1 Threemilestone 6 In this midweek game played at Clijah Croft Tim Grose opened the scoring for the 'Stones, from a Ryan Stephens throw-in. Grose drifted in unmarked at the back post to score from six yards.

Marc Taylor made it 3-0 at the break with two more goals, the first a tap in after Stephen's shot had came back off the woodwork. Grose hit his second of the game to make it four ten minutes into the second half.

Glen Patterson then hit goals five and six, his second a chip over the advancing 'keeper from 20 yards. Trevenson grabbed a goal back late on but this was no more than a consolation and finished a well-beaten side.
