Labradors are known for being adventurous but one little puppy took it a step too far when it accidentally fell down a wet mineshaft in Redruth this lunchtime.
The puppy slipped down the shaft at Higher Laity at 12.30pm. Four crews from Camborne and Redruth fire stations were involved in a rescue attempt and fortunately fire fighters were able to recover the puppy from the shaft successfully.
The little dog was then taken to the vet for a check-up, to make sure it had suffered no ill effects from its adventure.
