All three emergency services were called to help a woman who waded into Stithians lake after her dog on Tuesday evening.
After the woman had entered the lake at Menherion Water Park, near the Golden Lion Inn, there were concerns for her safety, and police, ambulance and fire crews were called just after 9pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "On receipt of this call stating that a person was missing and believed to be in the water, Cornwall Fire and Rescue mobilised water safety resources from Falmouth and Penzance, also appliances from Tolvaddon and Falmouth."
However the woman was out of the water before firefighters arrived, although they joined paramedics at the scene to check she was unharmed.
Police said the woman was out of the water by 9.30pm, and emergency services had only been called because "she was worried she was going to get into difficulties" and "to make them aware."
