TWO gardens featuring a range of different areas and plenty of colourful plants will be open in support of Cornwall Hospice Care on Saturday, July 11.

Lizal, at High Cross, Constantine, and Little Lamanva, at Lamanva near Penryn, are combining for a joint opening in aid of the charity’s Open Gardens Scheme. And with the venues just two miles apart, green-fingered enthusiasts will be able to visit both gardens in the day.

Lizal is a medium-sized spring garden that moves to perennials and annuals in the summer. It is divided into several separate sections and patios and also boasts a good-sized vegetable area.

Little Lamanva is also medium-sized and is spilt into three area: lawns, flower beds and a terraced patio. The garden contains lots of pots with colourful annuals.

The gardens are open from 10am to 4pm and refreshments will be available and plants on sale. Admission is just £2 per garden.

The other gardens in the scheme can be viewed in the Open Gardens brochure which is available from all Cornwall Hospice Care shops, most garden centres and tourist information centres and is also available to download from the events page of the Cornwall Hospice Care website: www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk.
