Sunny weather helped volunteers collect over £500 at a recent summer fete held for St Michael's Church in Helston.
The fete, which was held in the Andrew Hall and in the front yard, made £547 on the day with another £20 raised through the sale of leftover items after church the the next morning.
Sandra Chambers, one of the organisers, said: "It was over the £500 mark, so I was dead chuffed about it."
Passersby stopped in to buy flowers, bric a brac, handicrafts and cakes, and there was also a church stall for religious items.
Sandra said: "It was a lovely atmosphere. There was a lot of people there that were nothing to do with the church.
"Everybody was happy, I think because the sun was shining.
"It was nice to have people saying 'aren't you a friendly lot,' hopefully it encouraged people to come into the church."
The money will go towards the church funds.
