The annual Martin Jennings Memorial Run, which had been due to take place on Sunday, has been postponed because heavy rain is forecast for much of the day.

Falmouth councillor David Saunby, who organises the motorbike run, took the decision to postpone earlier today and hopes the event will be able to go head next Sunday, September 20.

Providing the weather allows, riders will gather at Garras Wharf car park in Truro at 9am next weekend for a 10am start. The exact route is kept secret until the day, but will involve bikers riding along the A30 and stopping at the square in Beacon, the home village of Martin Jennings, who died in 1987 while competing in the 1987 Isle of Man GP.
