A Falmouth man has been arrested following an assault in Camborne which left a man with serious facial injuries.
Police appealing for witnesses following the attack have issued an image of a man who is a potential witness to the assault, and are asking him to contact them as he may have significant information.
The victim, a 45-year-old local man, was punched in the face by another man on East Hill in Tuckingmill at around 4.45pm.
The suspect left the scene in a silver vehicle which was waiting for him nearby on Pendarves Street.
Police said: "A 23-year-old man from Falmouth has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on bail until October 12.
"The assault took place on a busy road at peak time and police believe it would have been witnessed by a number of people."
