Artist Ashley Hanson has returned to Porthleven where he is holding a week long workshop this week with a one day exhibition on Saturday, October 10.
The workshop is being held in Porthleven's Old Lifeboat House and experienced artists are taking part in it so the work that will be on display on Saturday is expected to be of a high standard and interesting.
Talking about the week ahead Ashley said:
"This is the fourth time I’ve hosted a workshop at the Old Lifeboat House and as far as I’m concerned there is no better place to paint. Porthleven continues to inspire my own work and I hope to complete number 21 in the series during the week. I’m very much looking forward to seeing how the other artists, who are coming from all over the UK, respond to this wonderful place with its iconic clock tower and the mix of the natural and man- made landscape. Having worked with the artists before, it’s sure to be an exciting show."
There will be a Preview of the exhibition at The Old Lifeboat House on Friday, October 9 between 5 and 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to meet the artists and share a glass of wine. The exhibition continues Saturday, October 10 from 10am -5pm.
