Fifth annual Rotary golf day raises cash for charities
The Helston-Lizard Rotary Club recently held their annual Charity Golf Day at Killiow Golf Club near Truro. Arranged for the fifth year by Rotarian Hjalmar Wara, 19 teams of four golfers took part in a Texas Scramble. From entry fees and hole sponsorship £3,860 was raised which will be split between the Children's Hospice South West, the Swallows of Helston gymnastic club and other Rotary charities.
Hjalmar would like to thanks all golfers who took part, the sponsors who generously supported the event and Killiow Golf Club and their staff for hosting the event.
