Nankersey Rowing Club is making a last push for sponsorship ahead of a 12 mile Row for Refugees this weekend.
Three gig crews form the club will be rowing from Mylor to Truro and back to raise money for MOAS, a charity which works to save people who face death by drowning in the Mediterranean as they try to escape conflict torn countries.
Although the club currently has three teams rowing, other clubs including St Agnes and Penryn have indicated they might join at the last minute, with the potential for five or six boats taking to the water on Saturday, or Sunday if conditions are too perilous.
If you would like to support the rowers and potentially save lives, go to www.givengain.com/ap/rowforrefugees or give a cash donation at Penryn Town Council offices.
