The Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard recently came to the aid of one of the town's longstanding youth groups which was looking to modernise.
The club was approached by Swallows of Helston Gymnastics Club, which has been running since the 1970s, for help to upgrade their computer system.
At a recent meeting Rotary Club president elect Roy Treloar presented a cheque for £1,000 to Swallows representative Sophie Greenaway.
The Swallows has approximately 350 members, ranging from around three years old to adults, and runs a broad range of classes at recreational, display and competitive levels.
The club operates a full school Key Step support coaching programme at local primary schools, with a number of schools choosing to attend the club for gym sessions.
