The Salvation Army will be bringing Christmas spirit to the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on Sunday, December 6, at 4pm for their Christmas Carol Concert.

This family focussed event is now in its tenth year and this local milestone coincides with the 150th anniversary of The Salvation Army which was started by William Booth in the east end of London back in 1865.

The concert will include a mix of traditional carols, choir singing, a nativity scene, timbrels and of course The Salvation Army band.

There will also be a few surprises including a special guest from the North Pole.

All profits from the concert will be donated to the local Falmouth & Penryn Churches Together Foodbank

Salvation Army leader Lieutenant Mark Godwin, said: “This year has been a special year for The Salvation Army and we are looking forward to the opportunity to celebrate our Christian faith by holding the Christmas concert. All the monies raised will benefit those in our community that are struggling in these difficult times. ”

Tickets cost £3 and can be bought in advance or on the door. To book, call the box office on 01326 211222.

The Salvation Army will also be opening the doors of its hall on Brook Street on Christmas Day for anyone who will be alone this Christmas. For more information and to book a place contact Mark Godwin 01326 314567.
