With Christmas Day just a month away the Post Office has announced that through its modernisation programme branches across the Truro (TR) postcode region are now able to offer over 5,800 extra opening hours during the run up to Christmas.

The Post Office is undertaking the biggest transformation in its history. Dozens of branches in Truro, Penzance and Newquay have been given a new modern look with many of them open from early in the morning until later in the evening, often seven days a week.

Post Office network and sales director Kevin Gilliland said: “Christmas is an extremely busy time for our customers. Through longer hours at our branches this Christmas we want to make it as easy as possible for customers to post their cards and gifts or collect online shopping at a time that suits them best.”

The Post Office has given its recommended last posting dates for Christmas delivery
