Almost 200 people gathered at Coronation Park in Helston on Sunday to send a message to the world leaders attending the United Nations Climate Talks in Paris.

People of all ages, turned out to listen to speakers, walk around the lake and express their concerns, demands and hopes for the future of the planet and its people.

Organisers said the rally was one of thousands of events taking place in towns and cities all around the globe urging delegates to reach an ambitious and just accord that allows countries to make and meet commitments to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The event was organised by The Lizard Peninsula Friends of the Earth and supported by Transition Penwith, West Cornwall Friends of the Earth, Transition Helston, West Cornwall Green Party and Penzance and Helston Organic Gardeners and Growers.
