The pupils and staff of Perranarworthal School think they may have the tallest Christmas tree of any school in Falmouth and the surrounding area after a very generous donation.
The approximately 20 foot giant was presented to the school by the parents of pupils Ella, Ted and Jonty Bailey, whose family runs Bailey's Country Store in Penryn.
Head teacher Rachel Heffer said: "We've never had one this size before, the last one was half the size of that.
"We're just delighted, and very grateful to the Baileys for their generous donation. The size of this tree has made it particularly exciting for the children this year."
Every year the school has a tree decorating service, with the children bringing in home made decorations and everyone singing Christmas carols.
Rachel added: "We had three dads and one of our tallest members of staff Mr Anderson had to decorate it because it was so tall.
"It's really made Christmas for the children, having such a lovely tree."
