For two weekends before Christmas members of the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard took on the role of Santa Claus in a grotto arranged by the Trevena Cross Nursery at Breage where all the children attending received presents donated by the nursery.
At a recent Rotary club meeting, Graham Jeffery of Trevena Cross Nursery presented President George Blight with a cheque for £2,450 which had been raised from the grotto. The money will be given to the nursery's nominated charity, The Cove Appeal, for the Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske, Truro.
