Police have arrested a second man in following the death of a 37 year old in Newlyn in December. 

Officers were called to a property in Gwarvas Road, Newlyn, at around midday on Tuesday, December 29, after concern was raised for the welfare of the man living there.

On arrival officers discovered the body of a Michael Horner, 48, inside.

Yesterday police arrested a 43-year-old local man in connection with the death, who has since been released on police bail until May 17 pending further enquires.

A 37-year-old man from Penzance was arrested earlier in the day in connection with the incident and also released on bail until May 17.

A police spokesperson said: “We would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and we are continuing our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.”
