A&P Falmouth has lost an important contract to Harland and Wolff, Belfast to drydock and repair the Irish Ferries passenger ferry Oscar Wilde.
Condor Ferries high speed ferry Condor Liberation which is in number 2 drydock is behind schedule making the dock unavailable for the Oscar Wilde.
In February 2010 Oscar Wilde sailed from here after a refit and caught fire in the bay. The vessel was eventually towed back into port. The ship runs between Rosslare and Cherbourg.
