Tyler Denley from Camborne, and a member of the Soo Bahk Do martial arts club at Rosemellion School, has been named as the recipient of the Camborne Redruth and District Lions Club's very first Youth Award.
The teenager was presented with his award by Lions club president Derek Canham. Lions youth officer Neil Heathcote said that Tyler, who has overcome three major heart surgeries, was recommended for the award because of his dedication to his sport and because he helps train the younger group before attending his own class.
Also attending the presentation were Soo Bahk Do's instructor, Alex Woodmason; Tyler’s parents, Nicole and Richard Denley and members of the martial arts club.
