Helston Chamber Choir is looking for a blacksmith for their forthcoming concert – but he or she must be able to hammer in time to music. Or, alternatively, they would accept a percussionist who can play a blacksmith’s anvil.
Come along on Saturday, May 28, to hear their programme, which includes Holst’s English Choral Songs, with a real anvil for The Blacksmith’s Song. They are also performing Haydn’s Jungendemesse and Te Deum, and cantatas by Buxtehude and Telemann with violins, cello and organ.
Tickets are available on the door at 7.30pm at St Michael’s Parish Church, Helston - £10 on the door or £8 in advance from Heathercraft in Helston, or call 01209 831672.
