This year's Porthleven Masked Ball has been hailed the biggest to date with more than 6,000 people in attendance across the three-day festival over the weekend, which saw the biggest line-up in the event’s ten-year history.

Celebrating a ‘decade of decadence', Masked Ball regulars and newcomers were able to enjoy headline acts 2ManyDJs, Groove Armada and Basement Jaxx along with other performers providing the soundtrack for a no-holds-barred party.

Over the past ten years the group of friends behind the event have let their imaginations run riot, sending revellers on immersive adventures where senses are dazzled.

This year, 'ballers' were cordially invited to attend a soiree at The Manor, featuring different 'rooms' for different experiences.

Festival organiser Alec Short said: "We’re so pleased that so many came and celebrated the Masked Ball’s tenth birthday. It was the biggest event ever held at the Porthleven cliff top location.

"It’s been a wonderful ten years and we’re incredibly excited to be heading into our second decade with you lot, but we have one more trip to take you on before this year is finished; prepare for Coney Island Halloween."

The wild weekender began with Feast Friday, a dinner and disco featuring a spread of Cornish cuisine held in The Manor’s red-carpeted and chandeliered Grand Ballroom, with views over Mount’s Bay. Attendees then burned off the calories on the dancefloor when DJs took to the decks for the after-dinner disco.

Celebration Saturday saw revellers dress up and go wild as they explored the maze-like Manor's multiple 'rooms'.

The weekend was co-headlined by the mighty Groove Armada and 2ManyDJs, while Norman Jay supplied an injection of funk and soul.

Elsewhere, drum and bass legend London Elektricity alongside MC Dynamite, with rave royalty Julio Bashmore and Radio 1 party starter B.Traits kept the weekend pumping.

To end the weekend, the Sunday Service saw sun worshipping yoga ravers in The Terrace and Jukebox DJs providing the ultimate summer playlist, before headliners Basement Jaxx closed the festival.

Masked Ball organisers have announced that the ball will return this Halloween at Flambards Theme Park in Helston on October 29, from 6pm until 6am.
