The celebration of world foods brings some of Cornwall's best street food chefs back to Enys Gardens in Penryn on July 9 and 10.

The two day event will allow visitors to explore a wide range of international street foods, sample local ales and enjoy live music in one of Cornwall's oldest gardens.

Organiser Emma Powell-Thomas said: “We are really excited to bring visitors and traders together to celebrate international street food cuisine in these beautiful gardens.”

Food Jam will feature a 'street food trail' inviting visitors on a culinary journey that aims to cultivate the exploration of world foods whilst enjoying the historic gardens and taking part in the many activities the event has to offer.

This year's graze-trail includes dumplings, mezze, Thai, British, Indonesian and many other cuisines, all served in ‘Graze size portions' for £3.

The trail will meander through the gardens, house and marquee, allowing visitors to enjoy sushi lessons, cooking and cocktail demos whilst sampling local ales from Black Rock Brewery.

New to the entertainment side of the festival this year is family yoga on both mornings and a foraging walk with Matt Vernon from Cornish Wild Food as well as live music with local ska band ‘Lost in Space’ into the evening on Saturday.

Matt Vernon said: “I looking forward to be showcasing exciting foraged ingredients that can easily be used in home cooking and will also be demonstrating how easy it is to prepare local rabbit from scratch.”

Emma added:“The aim with Food Jam is to create the perfect day out in an un-spoilt setting; Enys as the backdrop, fresh street food, local ales, family activities and completed by live music until the sun goes down.”

The gardens will be open from 11am-10.30pm on Saturday and 11am-6pm on Sunday during the festival. Normal garden entry fee applies, children under 16 go free and this includes all activities except sushi lessons. Tickets with transport from Falmouth or Penryn are available.
