Youngsters at St Mary's School in Falmouth had the chance to get their hands on some pieces of high tech gadgetry thanks to a visit from Currys PC World employees.

The children were able to try out some of the latest digital cameras, GoPro cameras, a 360 degree camera and virtual reality headsets thanks to a new initiative from the retailer which sees staff visiting local schools and organisations.

Tamsen Cooper, manager from the Truro store, said: "We want to bring the latest technology into classrooms and the community and if anybody from any organisation or group who would like us to visit and give a demonstration should just contact me and put in a request. The idea is just to bring things along and show how we can bring them all to life."

While Tamsen and her colleagues took most of the gadgets with them when they left St Mary's, they did leave behind two waterproof and shockproof digital cameras as a gift.

Any community group, such as scouts, guides, or WIs, who would like a visit from Currys PC World should contact Tamsen at dutymanager_2905@currysstores.co.uk.
