Arson is suspected following a fire in Penzance which spread to a derelict building on Regent Terrace.
Firefighters attended the blaze following numerous repeat calls reporting a car fire in the Regent Terrace area just after 1.30am.
Fire engines from Penzance and St Just were sent to the scene, followed by a third vehicle after it was reported that the fire had spread to a derelict building.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel jet, one main jet, a triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera to fight the blaze for almost two hours.
At around 3.20am, crews reported that the fire was extinguished, and at around 4.45am they were still on scene damping down and monitoring hotspots.
A fire service spokesperson said: "The cause is arson, suspected and spread. Devon and Cornwall Police have been notified."
