The Landerio Horse and Dog Show returns for its fourth year on Sunday, September 4, to raise more cash for local charities and organisations.

The show, at Landerio Farm Livery in Mylor, will this year be supporting Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), along with Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary and Last Chance Hotel dog rescue centre.

This event has something for the whole family to enjoy, as well as the classes there will also be refreshments and ice cream available to buy.

The horse show begins at 8.30am and costs £5 per horse to enter each class, with rosettes for all those who come sixth or higher in each class and cash prizes for first, second and third.

There are 50 classes for the horses including a class for heavy horses, show jumping and a fun class, which will all be judged by Rosemary Penn, Natalie Budd, Trystan Stock, Luke Ingram and Lynn Harris.

The dog show will commence at 1pm with 16 different classes with a £1.50 entry per class. The dog show is sponsored by Rosemullion Vet Hospital and will be judged by Chloe Rollason, with rosettes for all those who finish in sixth place or higher.

Event organisers Jackie Meyers and Jo Green said: “We look forward to seeing old friends and welcome all new competitors and spectators and we hope everyone has an enjoyable day.”

Mary Murfin, community fundraiser for CHSW, said: “We are delighted that the Landerio Horse and Dog Show will be supporting Children’s Hospice South West along with two other causes in our anniversary year. Throughout 2016 CHSW is celebrating 25 years since its founding therefore it is fantastic to have the support of the community in our special year.”
