A resident from Porthcurno is celebrating after winning a competition to name Churchill Retirement Living’s new development on New Town Lane in Penzance.
Pat Russell and her husband Stuart were presented with a cheque for £100 at a naming ceremony for the new Mounts Bay Lodge development. Mrs Russell said: “I saw the competition advertised and thought of a number of names but decided to settle on Mounts Bay Lodge. The development looks out on to Mounts Bay with excellent views across the harbour to St Michael’s Mount so I thought that Mounts Bay Lodge had a nice ring to it. I’m thrilled to have won.”
Lauren Amirmadhi, regional marketing executive for Churchill Retirement Living, said: “Churchill Retirement Living likes to involve the local community in choosing the names for its developments and often does so by running a competition asking for suggestions. We received a vast number of entries for the new Penzance development and we are pleased to have awarded Mr and Mrs Russell with their winning cheque.”
