Residents at a Falmouth care home can look forward to plenty more days out and activities after a recent summer fete raised more than £300 for their comfort fund.

Trevern care home had a very successful fete recently, drawing in visitors with a tea dance, tombola, cakes and refreshments, and a raffle with a £50 first prize, along with other stalls and games.

Rebecca Sullivan, one of the home's activities coordinators, said: "It went very well. We did get quite a few visitors and it was quite busy considering the weather."

The money will go to the home's comfort fund, which is all used to pay for activities and outings for the residents.

Rebecca said there weren't currently any plans for a big excursions, but the home is hoping to organise some events around Christmas.

She added: "We are trying to organise a 'Trevern's got Talent' night, that we would like to throw open across all the home."
