People living in the Falmouth and Penryn area will get a chance to discuss policing, fly-tipping, the Neighbourhood Plan, and other issues at a meeting in Mylor next Tuesday.

The Falmouth and Penryn Community Network Panel will be at the Tremayne Hall from 7pm to 9pm, with an agenda covering the Police and Crime Plan, local policing, fly-tipping and littering and the Neighbourhood Plan.

Richard Martin, from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, will be at the meeting, as will Ian Thompson, Police Inspector for Helston and Falmouth.

Cornwall Councillor John Bastin, chair of the Falmouth and Penryn Community Network Panel, said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents to ask their questions about local policing and the wider Police and Crime Plan. I encourage anyone who would like to find out more to come along to the September meeting.”

Ian Thompson added: “I’m pleased that either myself or a representative will be regularly attending the Community Network meetings as it’s important that the local police have meaningful contact with council representatives and the wider community so that specific policing issues concerning communities can be tackled.  It is also an opportunity for me to promote the police force’s mission and priorities, translating those into how the police in Falmouth and Helston are working to achieve them.”

If you cannot attend the meeting and would like to submit a question please contact Mark James, community liaison officer for Falmouth and Penryn, by emailing mjames2@cornwall.gov.uk or telephoning 01209 615647.
