The fundraising team at Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) Little Harbour in St Austell is wishing all of the ladies taking part in the Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth on Saturday the best of luck.

Over 300 ladies have signed up to walk the five miles around the town in memory of their loved ones. The event, which starts at 10pm, is being sponsored by Fugro GeoServices meaning that even more money raised by the ladies walking will be able to go straight to supporting the work of the charity, offering care to children with life limiting conditions and their families, and not on event costs.

Ladies will be given a special limited edition Moonlight Memory Walk t-shirt to wear celebrating the 25th anniversary of the charity. Women are also encouraged to wear purple or silver or even fancy dress, to embrace their girls' night out with a difference.

Kiley Tellam, events fundraiser for CHSW, said : “I would like to thank all the ladies who have signed up to join us for our eighth annual Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth. This is a special year for CHSW celebrating 25 years of the charity so we are delighted that so many ladies are keen to join us for the celebration. We hope everyone has a fantastic night and I would like to thank everyone who has helped make the event happen.”

Any ladies still wishing to take part in the event need to register beforehand as there will be no registrations on the evening. To register visit chsw.org.uk/moonlight, or call 01726 871800 before midnight on Thursday.

Ladies need to sign in at The Moor between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. At 9.40pm there will be a moving Memory Ceremony, followed by a warm up ensuring everyone is ready for the off at 10pm.
