A family garden in Constantine described by the owners as "honest but magical" is opening for Cornwall Wildlife Trust this weekend.

Garten Garden has been lovingly developed by its owners to create an ecologically driven environment for local wildlife.

Doctors Sara Gadd and Daro Montag have owned the home since 2001 and designed their garden to be an enchanting mix of natural materials and plantings to enhance their desire for a low carbon life.

Chris Betty, communications officer for Cornwall Wildlife Trust, said: "Ecologically minded owners make this a very unusual garden and one which will give visitors ideas on how they can apply eco-ideas to their own gardens.

"After this garden the Trust has one more garden opening, Pedn Billy at nearby Helford Passage, on October 9, bringing our very successful yearly event to a close."

Garten Garden is opening for Cornwall Wildlife Trust on Sunday, October 2 from 2pm to 5pm.

The garden is located at Lower Treculliacks House, Lower Treculliacks in Constantine (TR22 4QW).

Entry costs £4 for adults and is free for under 16s.

Pasties and cream teas by Crantocks Bakery and Roddas will be available at the event, which is suitable for families, although due to the nature of the garden, disabled access is limited, and due to the wildlife, no dogs are permitted.
